Urgent help with Dish

Hi,
Please can some one help..
Just bought a WNC 45cm dish to use with a pace sky freesat box. The dish has no instruction on how to put it together, is it meant to be that easy or are they missing. Has any one any ideas where i may be able to get some info on how to do it tonight as I am eager to get going...
Many thanks for any advice...

Do you mean the one on this page?

Perhaps the picture will help. Looks pretty simple.
Where did you buy it?

Hi
I bought it at Melksham Satellites Ltd mail order. No its not like the one in the link. I have managed to put the dish together I am having a few other problems if any one can advise me.. all new to this..
I am able to get a 75% signal strength and a 25 % ish quality but I am on a different saterlite to what the leaflet says I should be, how do I change this. Its the ID and the other stream number!
also the cable from the dish to the pace box are they easy to wire up and if so how. do you do it like a old fashioned areil coax..
Many thanks for any advice..

Why does someone so in-experienced attempt a D-I-Y job like this?

Give the guy a chance its not that hard to do,and it’s one of the best ways to learn.

The cabling from the dish to the box is similar to old coax cabling the only difference you use f type connectors on the ends. http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?...rew-On%20Plugs
As for changing the satellite you will need to move the dish to the correct one.

The easiest way of doing that it is to connect every thing up then get someone to watch the signal strength screen on the services menu on the sky box then you move the dish until you get a good quality signal.

I try things that I have not done before to learn from my experiences, I thought that is what forum boards are all about

A trip to Satcure's site can be rewarding ! This would be a good place to start

Particularly take note of the use of self-amalgamating tape - PVC tape is not adequate for weatherproofing satellite connections.

Buy a motor for the dish and make it track all the satellites. That could take you a couple of months

Glad you got it working - learning by your mistakes is the best way to learn
