htsf 1000 speaker system

Hi all, after a little help.

I have bought Sony HTSF 1000 Speaker system and think its great. Can somebody please give me a little advice on the best way to connect everything.

I have a samsung HD ready TV, sky box, xbox360 and obviously this speaker system. What is the best way to connect everything?

connect all video directly to your tv
conect the L/R phono from xbox to tv aswell
use the optical out on you sky box/x-box to conect to the amp.
that way you can have the surround sound on whenever u want / or just have the sound commin through the tv, without swapping cables around
