Hi everyone, another newbie question which I'm sure you're all sick of reading, but the amount of kit on the market makes any decision over what to actually buy pretty hard!
I'm moving into a new house before too long and I'm hoping to put together a decent tv setup, mainly for watching films, some listening to music, etc. I've had a look around and originally had decided on a Denon DHT1356XP for £220 from empiredirect, Denon 1920 and a Panasonic TH42PX60
Given that the Denon's being replaced soon and had a few problems, I've changed my mind. However, I'm stuck between looking for an all-in-one with dvd player and (hopefully) optical in, so that I can upgrade to an upscaler if a good new one comes on the market, or going for a home cinema in a box without dvd player and then an upscaler at the same time.
All-in-one-wise, I've heard good things about the Sony DAV-DZ500 (optical in?), Denon DHT-500 (although maybe a bit old?) and the Panasonic SCHT855 (a bit cheaper so maybe not quite as good? Especially with an HDMI output included in the price), and there's the Pioneer DCS36. Without a dvd player, the Sony HTSF1000 looks alright but I can't really find much else to compete
As you can probably tell by the systems I've mentioned, budget at this point is around £350 and picture quality is the most important thing, followed by sound. How loud the system goes isn't really a priority. Feel free to recommend totally different bits of kit to the ones I've mentioned, although try not to confuse me too much
Thanks guys
