SD on HD/Bluray DVD [Archive]

I'm thinking of buying an upscaling DVD player but may hold off if the new HD/Bluray DVD players are able to upscale my SD DVD collection. Does anyone know if the HD players will be able to do this?

Yes, the current Toshiba HD DVD players play and upscale standard DVDS very nicely and Blu Ray players will be able to as well.
