Hi I bought the Microsoft Optical Desktop with finger scanner. It works good but at start up the blue 'Windows Is Starting up' screen takes around a minute to get past whereas it used to be instant. Ever since I installed Digital Persona fingerprint reader software it has been like this. Any way of fixing this? Thanks.

The more programs you add to run when windows boots the longer it takes to boot, doesnt it? Try pressing F8 as you boot then boot in "Safe Mode" windows then starts up in a quarter of the time, thats because its only loading essential programs. To exit safe mode, simply turn off pc as normal and reboot, without pressing F8.
