Terrestrial HD Trial - Humax HDMI Issue?

I have my trial Humax box hooked up to my Sony Bravia TV (I don't have the model number with me) using HDMI. Its all working great, except every couple of hours or so, the TV screen will go black for about half a second before coming back on with the resolution and frequency displayed, as if the video input was shut off and switched back on again. The audio is not affected (I am not using any separate audio cables; its all via HDMI).

Any suggestions as to what might be up? I'll probably call the trial tech support people soon, but the thing is, this is the first time I have used the TV's HDMI port, so it could be the TV. Or the trial box or its cable. And I don't know anyone else with an HDTV to try the box on.

Has anyone else experienced anything similiar? Thanks for your thoughts!
Chris.

If it comes back displaying the frequency of the freeview transmission then it sounds as though it' a freeview box problem.
Or is the display frequency ?

looks like the Bravia's have this problem at 1080i settings. there is thread on this forum in the LCD / Plasma TV section.

I haven't tested the box for a couple of hrs on the 1080i setting as there is no HD programming beamed currently which is more than 2 hrs.

Its the frequency of the display. It says something like 1080i/50. The onscreen message is coming from the TV rather than the Humax.
