Question Ultimate DVD: Platinum?

Is this http://www.dvdboxoffice.com/descript...er&country=cad the right one? I know it's R1, but it works out at only £12.69!

If it is correct, please let me know as I'll order one. I was under the impression it cost a lot from other members.

I'm 99% sure that is the disc you want mate. It's prob cheap because of the exchange rate, you can't go wrong with DVDBoxoffice - when they're cheap, they're cheap, I just bought The Thin Red Line DTS from them for £11 and it arrived in less than a week.

Thumbs up

Thought as much. Thanks.

I actually stopped using DVDBox Office when I went to Play. These days though, and directly because of DVD Price Search, I've been ordering from them again. Very! cheap and much, much faster than they ever used to be.

Sorry, what I meant to be asking, is this the correct disc? Because it seems too cheap at that price form what I've read by others on the BB.

Thanks.

Or, is it this one everyone goes on about....http://www.dvdboxoffice.com/descript...67&country=cad

If I've been stupid then just tell me. One of the two has got to do the trick for system set up.

Thanks.

If you mean by "the one", your refering to the setup disc used by most pro's. Then that's called "Avia". But if you mean is it the best of the "Ultimate DVD" series. Then i believe the Platinum is the one with the best test patterns etc.

If the above is NOT what yo meant, then please ignore me!

Thanks Paul.

I now know, the Avia disc is the one eveyone goes on about. But the Platinum one seems to me, to be the one (for the money) to get.

It just seems that tonight I'd be better with a plank of wood applied across the back of my head to bring me back into line.

Well, I'm going to buy the Platinum one anyway I think, so I'll just lend it to you, and if there are any Avia nuts around, then maybe they confirm in the meantime if it's worth the extra £14 or so.

And if you have a DVD burner, then copy away.

Ok then. But I did mean to say 'Backup' as copying is illegal.
