Sony Wi-Fi Streamer

I like the idea of streaming music around the house using my wireless network, but almost every streamer (Squeezebox, Soundbridge, Philips Streamium products) don't support the ATRAC format. As all my music on my PC is in this format, this is a bit of a bummer

Surely Sony produce a product an ATRAC-compatible media streamer? I'd have bet money on it, but I can't find one. Apart from the Xbox-360 of course, but I want something for the kitchen or bedroom.

That's the trouble with ripping music in a proprietary format, I use Atrac3 on my HD3 but actually store it all on my PC as 320k MP3 and just convert to Atrac3 when transferring to my HD3.

Use a Roku Soundbridge myself and it's a fantastic piece of kit.

Yeah, I'm beginning to realise that Uridium...might just have to go the same route. Thanks.

Sony do make a Vaio media streamer which is ATRAC friendly. I'm in a rush at the moment but I think it is a VGP-MR100 or something like that.
Have a look around the Sony and SonyStyle website. It comes bundled with top end Vaios but can also be bought seperately

That looks a bit more than I need, as it seems to do video as well as audio. Thanks for the info though
