Sorry about this, but have to ask:-

How much longer are broadcasters going to continue to cater for 4:3 veiwers? I'm fed-up with the side graphics on certain channels being a ridiculous amount towards the centre of the picture on my widescreen.

QVC (sorry!) is a classic example - the graphics are virtually in the middle!!! It looks silly too. Is this going to continue for long? For ever?????????

Please tell!

(And no, I wont set my 16:9 to 4:3 to view them)

probably for as long as there is still a large number of 4:3 viewers who cant afford to upgrade their sets.......you'll be surprised how many people still use a 4:3 set.....

I think we need to sacrifice the needs of the many for the needs of the few  Time to trim the herd

I've got an early 90's Sony Trinitron that I have no intention of swapping for a while yet, and as its built like a tank, I'm sure its got more than 10 years left in it.

But, if anyone wants to buy me a new TV I'm willing to make the switch the 16:9!
