When playing back DVDs, can the A1 output 480i over HDMI or does it always deinterlace to 480p?

Sorry it's 480p over HDMI otherwise it would have made a good transport.

Indeed, and that helps answer another question from elsewhere ... i.e. what does Sky HD do with 576i over HDMI (it uses the same deinterlacing and scaling chipset as A1).
