Has anyone elese got one of these? Apparantly it's exactly the same as the
A1 but all black caseing.
If anyone is looking to get one of these i got it from http://www.dvdslimited.com/detail.asp?id=56168
It comes with a power converter included in the price.

M8 you might just want to check the rating of the included power converter to ensure it's at least 100w. Someone else bought a unit from the same place and it included a 45w power supply that blew and damaged the player (look at the "disaster" post in this thread). I believe the supplier is rectifying the problem and changing the unit for future sales but better safe than sorry....

hi brute, ( sorry to go slightly off topic) ive got a p50 too, so the pic quality is good then? ive got twhd and the few programmes on there are amazing, even on our rubbish HD compatible screen. ;) lots of people dont like the fact we get the best from both worlds, brilliant sd picture and amazing hd picture but now we know that hddvd is quality too they might change their minds.

Thanks for confirming this player is good, I was a little concerned as everyone has the A1, to be honest thats what i would've got if it were in stock. When i saw that it's only sold through wall-mart in the states, i was slightly worried, bit like buying it from matalan i guess.
All my over AV gear is silver, so it will look a little odd, but nevermind, it's the quality of picture that counts.
Thanks m8

LoL i never read manuals, so im sure i'd've not done it and freaked out too.
Where do you set this v/output? Is it in the dvd player menu?
Can you set it to 50hz/60hz?
I've got Serenity, Doom, Last Samurai and Jarhead coming with it. So can't wait to see Serenity and Doom.
Anything else i need to be aware of? Just hope i don't get this hdmi error that allot of people have been getting.

1. V.out is a button on the remote
2. 60hz only
3. make sure your display is switched on first otherwise you will get an HDMI error.
