Hi,

New to this forum and am looking for a bit of advice for anyone who has attempted what i am looking at. i work in IT and am a gadget freak so know a few bits but am looking to achieve the following:
Want to connect a Windows XP media centre PC to a around a 40" LCD/Plasma TV using a DVI connection and have a USB2 DVB-T stick which claims to be HD ready (Freecom) taking an input from a telewest box.

Now as there are so many factors involved here I am a bit worried that my output will not end up being HD (also with the 'macrovision' style protection that HD sources are touting then is an indirect connection gonna cause me a problem?).

Anyone got any experience with this idea or got any tips on which TV is the best DVI enabled device.

Any advice is appreciated as Currys don't know about PC's and PC places don't know about TV's. I know a bit about both but obviously not enough....

Thanks,

Andy

Current (July 06) issue PC Pro has big article on HD TV - some info general, some specific to PCs. Take a look.

If investing long term, check implications of Vista
