Hello peeps I've got hold of an old Sega console from France. The problem is when I tried it, all I got was a monochrome (green) picture. All my tv's are not compatable with Secam, so I need some sort of secam to pal converter. Another problem is the scart lead which the Sega uses isn't a bog standard one. In the middle it has a box, opening it up, I found loads of wires. So I can't simply use a AV lead with it. All the cheaper converters I've seen have a/v sockets for input and output but none have a scart adapter for the input.

What would be good if I could find something which would allow you to plug the scart lead into it (input) and have 2 av leads coming out as the output. Then I could simply buy any Secam to Pal converter.

A bit confusing???

Secam is a transmission system - it still uses 625 lines at 50Hz. Can you get a SVideo or RGB scart output for the console? If so that should work....
