My mate at work gets the microsoft windows magazine every month
and he said there was some information on the Blu-ray drive for Pc.

Apparently they should start coming out around Aug-Sep time and will retail for aprox. £850!!!!

Looking at a thread on this forum there is a link to a PCworld site that tested a Blu-Ray burner priced at $1000, so this could be true.

Someone posted a link a couple of days ago to a panasonic blu-ray burner for the PC on the scan.co.uk site for preorder. It was 680 pounds. Which is still way way overpriced and I can't see them selling many (any?) but isn't as bad as 850.

Equally, i posted a link to a 30GB blue laser storage device that retails at £2000 for an internal drive, and 60 quid for a disk, which is in common use in the IT sector.
