Std Sky box and a TV Link help with new house?

Hi
I our current house we have a standard sky box and a cable that runs from the back to another room with a TV Link connected to the second TV.
This lets us view Sky in another room and change channels. The cable was installed by the Sky engineers when we initially bought Sky.
We are now moving house and the new house has pre-wired TV points in a number of the rooms coming from a Terrestial Aerial.
My questions are:
1) Can we take our existing box and card and use it in the new house assuming we get a Sky dish fitted?
2) Using the prewired cables in the house can I route the sky signal from the back of the box into the pre-wiring and place my TV link anywhere in the house where there is a TV?
3) Assuming 2) will work can I route the Sky signal without disconnecting the Terrestial aerial?
4) Would I be better off getting a new sky installation set-up and have the engineers run new cables throughout the house for one or more tv links attached to TVs? The box is an old Pace box probably or more 5 years old - we have never had any problems with it.
I hope that is clear and I also hope someone can help.

1. Yes take your Digibox and card. Sky charges £40 to install a dish and LNB on a house move or you can buy them and DIY.

2. If the cables are double-screened and if they are routed so you can use a SkyLink compatible amplifier or Loft Box.

3. See 2.

4. See 2.

Hi Jon.
Yes its easy to do. you'll need an IR passthru distribution amp/ loft box in the loft (which will probably need power) Though some can work from the power from the sky box via the coax,I saw one on e-bay last week).
1 yes box and card are yours though get sky to move you ( you might get a new dish !!)
2 send me you e-mail via a private message and I'll send a diagram of how mine is connected and the cable you'll need to run /connect.
3 you'll need a least 1 extra coax run from the sky box to the loft and best 2 if you can. first coax brings terrestial aerial to rfin on sky box/ second takes terrestial plus sky rf via rfout2 to distamp in loft/ third brings the signal from distamp to tv next to sky box. that allows you to watch terrestial tv whilst sky is being watched remotely. eg uk style upstairs via sky and champions league on ITV downstairs.
4 check the costs with sky first they will only run sat coax from dish to sky boxes. they will not run cable through your loft.
My extra coax runs exit the loft space between the top of the wall and the roof trusses (lots of vent type gauze which you can poke cable through quite easily)then clipped to a downspout and buried under the granite chippings mmost houses have these days at the base of the wall, They pop up by the lounge and then through the wall direct into the sky+ box.
works a treat.
