Bass Vibrates The Image

Hi guys

i have an AIWA SE2130 CRT TV and i have 2 Subs hooked up to my amp.....when intense bass is played it sounds great but the image on my TV warps and shakes whiles the bass is being played.....is this normal and will it damage my TV? Should i move my subs?

It's called microphony. It's because the subs are shaking the shadowmask in the tube. Move them.

Human ears are not very directional for low frequencies, so the sub can be anywhere in the room.

But how loud do you have it, for heaven's sake?

lol i do have it quite loud.....i'm gonna have to find a place to put my two subs now lol.....i have a small room u c......neighbours have never complained funnily enough altho i do have music wars with the young lad next door who lives in his parents shed lol.....i always win cos my system is better

HEHEsame here, mum n dad are quite nxt door thou sometimes the little bas**** nxt door puts his rubbish on so ill turn my sony MIDI system and let him listen to that thanks to the intergrated subs in my speakers they ROOCCKK

yea please do...maybe one night u shud break in and turn the amp on MAX base ect so his speakers blow up the min the amp comes on i did that once to an old HI-FI was funny as hell.....hmm strange how this CRT discussion has changed to music wars on our beloved neigbhors
