Video playback problems

Hi,

I've recently installed Windows Media Centre and also installed Power DVD. The thought being that Power DVD would provide the codec to allow MCE to play back video. Alas, this is not the case.

I cannot get any video playback at all, whther it be from DVD or from AVI's in MCE.

DVD playback works fine in PowerDVD and I can play back AVI's etc fine in Media Player 10.......it's just MCE that doesn't want to play ball.

I have downloaded and installed Klite codec pack, FFD show and some random others.....but no avail. Any ideas?

Many thanks.

If I remember you need Power DVD 5 or greater and the latest patch for Power DVD5 which on the site is Update Patch: This patch file updates PowerDVD 5.0 to build 2214 and can be got from http://www.cyberlink.com/multi/downl...hes_1_ENU.html
This works fine on my MCE for DVD's
