Elonex vs Laptop

Hi

I am thinking of getting an Elonex Artisan LXHPLUS but I have had the Ebox previously and am a bit wary.

a) because the picture tuning was very poor and the time it took to change channels was very slow.
b) I wanted to replace all my living room equipment with one bit of kit.

However I have speaker wire around my home so I was disappointed to find that you could not inset these into a computer 7.1 / 5.1 insert.

So in the end all I used it for was to watch DVD's and play music via LCD speakers , oh and surf internet.

So with this limited usage I still cann't record TV effectively (Stuttering Picture)
Can't hook up proper speakers.

So is a High powered Laptop a better option with MCE installed.

Otherwise Elonex looks good but cann't be used in others ways which a laptop can. (portability)

Oh I also have no ethernet lan but use WiFi

Your Thoughts Please
