Is it just after MCE starts up?
Press F8 during startup and start in safe mode VGA then try re-installing video drivers.

Do a "system restore" then and see if that helps.

Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore

Tell us more about your setup. Does it work via VGA as the DVI interface may not be selected to active. Does it look all ok trough the "Starting Widows XP" screen etc?

Start iin safe mode and In the graphics driver turn on "nView desktop manager" and setup the hotkeys. Maybe once you boot up normally and it goes black you can press a hotkey sequence to enable the DVI output?
