Thanks, only read the first review so far but overall it sounds very positive. Very nice long reviews too.

Sounds like we're going to need a big set to see the benefit of Hi-Def - and the reviewer here is talking 65". I've been thinking for a long time now that the 32" screen that suits my front room is ever smaller - I've been considering whether the 40" Sony Bravia or Samsung would be appropriate but will I see a significant improvement from Hi-Def DVD on a 40" screen ? Funny, because those Euro-village/poppies etc HD discs the shops are playing on the screens look pretty sharp !

It depends how far away you are sitting from the screen. If you're sitting about 3m away from a 40" then I doubt very much that the difference would be noticeable.
It all depends on several factors; size of HDTV, size of room (seating distance) and ofcourse your eye sight, hehe.
High definition materials, along with related equipment, will allow you to sit much closer without seeing pixelation- like a computer monitor at high resolution.
