sub thumps when central heating turns on!

i have a rel strata 3 sub which thumps every time the central heting or hot water turns on.

what will sort this out?

Sounds like an RFI problem, you will need a filter for the mains lead, try here.

I very much doubt a mains filter will stop it ,its more likley that the amp its self is picking up the thump,you need to get the cause of the problem sorted out ,the switch will only get worse.

how is the rel connected to your amp via low level or high level inputs ?

if it is low level.. is the sub cable "RFI shielded" ?

as i used to have a similar prob when my fridge cut in... the sound would drop out for a second then come back
