Paradigm ps1000 set up/connection advice please

Hello,

In the process of buying a paradigm ps1000 and im going to hook it up to my Yamaha ysp-800 sound projecter.

Can anyone advise a decent cheap cable for this please.

Also where would be the best place to position the sub?, my tv and ysp are in a square room but in a corner. As shown below



I know this isnt a ideal set up but its the best i can do so far.

Theres plenty of reasonable cables on a certain auction site, I would get a fairly long one. You can then experiment with the subs positioning, usually corners dont suit subs well, it tends to make them sound boomy. Havent seen the size of the paradim, could you use it at the side of one of the sofas as a coffee table. Thats what I do with the Rel strata 2 I have.

Yes it is a big sub

Height 42.5 cm (16 3/4 in)
Width 38.7 cm (151/4 in)
Depth 52 cm (201/2 in)

Good idea as a table, might have to do that.

I could but it at side of sofa that is near window.
Which way should i have sub firing towards tv or towards settee?
