I don't know how others feel but this forum seems to be quickly descending into heresay and inaccuracies. Both HD DVD and BluRay are of massive interest to us - but many readers need to make a balanced opinion and I think many will find that hard at present. There are just too many rumours or inaccuracies spouted as fact.

What I'm saying is if you are making a statement with regard to HD DVD or BluRay then why not backup it up with links to support your argument? Nobody is suggesting you are being dishonest but it enables us all to learn, analyse and re-consider our knowledge on the new formats. In the end of the day this will help us all as no-one knows everything about the new formats.

Excellent suggestion for very good reasons.

Good call, unfortunately most of my experience and knowledge actually comes from seeing the players and other stuff is in the 'press' or AV magazines that my wife translates for me.

You can however 'google' www.watch.impress.co.jp (do a translation) the reviewer of this site is very impartial and gets the info on all the latest developments.

One of the reasons there is so much hearsay is because both camps are keeping tightlipped about releases, dates and so on. If we stuck to quoting links we wouldn't have the banter or discussion we do. Its not only this forum but AVS has exactly the same problem. Lack of cast iron information. Take Fox for instance, we all know titles are coming but when, what and how many? Nobody knows.

I for one will be glad when we get over the initial launch, when ever that is and we have the players BD or HD-DVD in our living rooms.
