Anyway back to the question in hand , remove the skirting and add a layer of soundbloc plaster boards to the wall that backs onto their house. Either dot and dab them on using board adhesive or stud the wall out and board it!
Sticking is the easy way but if you stud it out you can add insulation to give even better soundproofing! It also creates a void which you can us to run cables in! The only down side is you'll lose a few inces off the size of your lounge!
Failing that i have a baseball bat you can borow lolol

even though i only have it turned up to -20 on my denon 3802 what i am after is the wall in question is brezzeblock studs attached then a layer of plasterboard do i build a new stud wall and use either green glue or the bar im just in the middle of soundproofing my ceiling becuase of the new arrival hope some one can help
and for the new arrival do nothing get the little one used to the noise you will be amazed what they can sleep through, the wife nearly set fire to the kitchen the other day setting off the smoke alarms and the little monkey didnt even budge.
