The composition is nice as is the lighting. I like the blue/grey cast to the light with the blue/grey cat but you need to make sure the image is pin sharp. There is a lack of detail in the shadows especially the face. It would have been good if the puss had opened it's eyes and these had been the point of focus rather than a bit further back.

I agree - the lack of focus spoils it for me and I'm not sure it speaks action but that's another matter In defence of the Caretaker on the detail, it's a damned difficult shot to expose properly as with such a strong light source you're either going to blow the highlights or lose shadow detail. Next time you'll have to get kitty to stand next to a diffuser

I'm still training the cat to keep its eyes open on command
thanks for your comments its the first time i have taken a picture of something moving, with my 350D i'm still very much a begginer
