Hi,
Can not get sky as my building is tied up with NTL, and they are not giving me any satisfication with there pricing.....
So that leaves home choice... but I have heard good and bad things about the PQ...
I have 50" plasma so would want a quality picture...
Anybody able to share info on the home choice offereing....
Thanks

I have heard bad things about them also been bought out by Tiscali and the way they operate I would stay clear.
If you can check to see if you can go with telewest the better side to the ntl/telewest company.

Quality is as good as Freeview maybe a little sharper. It depends on the source of course - CNN for instance is a little blurry. On-demand is good, music in particular has won awards. There is replay TV which records certain programs and allows you to watch up to a week later (BBC, ITV, C4). Its not as goods as Tivo but great for catching up with soaps, news , general stuff. There is various other on-demand stuff on National geographic, Discovery and lots of series.
Sky By Wire is also available if you want Sky.
Broadband is very fast and pretty reliable. They have been testing HD for several months and its supppose to launch before the end of the year.
Its also cheaper than NTL, my experience of them makes them a no-no.

as working for homechoice i'd second pete remarks, but ive never seen it look really good on a 50 inch plasma.
theres a broad range of channel and C1 has some good shows on it which obviously you can watch whenever you want.
replay does 60 hours of the most popular stuff through about 8 channels
but no Sky 1 :(
Broadband very good and reliable 8mb
but I've got sky as well cause I feel the pictures a tad better so this feeds my plasma

Ive had homechoice for about 3 years now. I Cant say much about quality etc - seems good to me - but in terms of customer care etc they have been great. Really easy to get through to etc so thumbs up in that area.
