Would this work for a screen fabric (vinyl flooring)

We have a blackout cloth DIY screen which hangs from the ceiling. when it's not used its simply rolled up and stored in the corner...I've been looking at replacing with a better fabric..one idea was to buy the proper stuff...I duly received a sample which my wife deliberatley screwed up, when I realised what I good idea it was to test it...it never recovered from the creases. so in all probability would of creased if I made a screen from it....anyway today was doing the Saturday shopping and was in a carpet shop when I noticed the vinyl flooring hanging from the roll....with not a crease to be seen, now that got me thinking, and obviously you wont find white flooring in many shops but the back face of many of them is white. and some dead smooth and matt finish without any printing.
Has anyone tried such an an idea for a screen..

it could be goodbye to waves and creases forever

Dave

I think you will find its way to reflective and would give you a hot spot were you could see it much brighter in the center of the image. You could always get a sample, let us know the findings of your experiment though.

You could also try banner vinyl. You should be able to get it from a sign maker. They can also put eyelets along the top to hang it from. It's available in a number of typres; from rear illuminuted through to blackout. It will crease if "screwed up" but may be OK if just rolled. Look for a signmaker that does digital banner printing as they are more likely to have the large format banner medium.
