I really like the third one down...
It is great to see hills like that. Living in the Vale Of York the landcape is as flat as a Tomboy's chest!

Beautiful landscape. Where were they taken?

They were taken at Loch Turret, looking accross from Ben Chonzie. Really nice place not far from crieff.
Picture 2 was taken by my wife, the others by me. I was very impressed by the outcome
It's a fantastic walk to go on a summers day.

Good stuff.
Third one gets my vote too, nice foreground detail without losing the main shot. Makes me want to go swimming...Would have been great to get the bird a bit sharper, hard thing to do though.

These were taken shortly after getting my 350D, I was so keen to 'just get out there' that as soon as I had it I was off in the car to take these.
All were taken using the 18-55 kit lens.
1/1000 f5.6 ISO 200
1/1000 f5.6 ISO 200
1/1000 f5.6 ISO 200
1/1250 f5.6 ISO 200 - I'm in two minds about this one, I really like the effect of the sun shining through the dense mist, but theres something I just cant put my finger on.. keeps me going back to look at it again though

Same lens, different day. A little lunchtime jaunt took me to the Dean Village in Edinburgh where I captured these shots.
1/30 f5.6 ISO 100
1/30 f5.6 ISO 200
1/25 f5.6 ISO 200

You are right about the misty picture, it's a nice shot. Looks almost like it's been taken through a sheer plastic bag

Some great shots and shows that you can take some crackers with the cheap kit lens. Who needs L lenses hey!
I especially love the yellow flower pic. The contrast between the flower and the dull background is great.

Here's a few more shots after the weekend. Due to the unfortunate events surrounding the Granite City Rally I had only taken a few pictures before it was canceled, none of which were actually on any of the stages.
Although I did have a crack at a couple of others when I came back to edinburgh.
Nice early start in a Aberdeen, just in time to catch a couple of the 4x4 competitors
On the way back home
Quick pitstop in Cramond for a walk (and a chilled beer!)
