Nice one. As we are all here to help each other learn, I copied your pic and straightened the horizon in Picasa2. What do you think?

so i am now hosting my photos in photobucket.com, so could someone please slowly guide me through how to set up the link from my photo thread to my photobucket album as i have'nt a clue how to do it  thanks in advance.

Sure,
1. Upload a photo to photobucket.
2. When it appears there, underneath will be three various html lines or image tags. Highlight the bottom tag and right click, select copy or use the keyboard to copy it by pressing control and c.
Useful to have two browsers open at this point.
3. Then when you are posting here, right click and select paste or control and V via the keyboard. The image tag should then appear on your post.
Quite easy and if you have any probs let us know. Remember to keep the pic within the forum limits.
Hope this helps.
Pete.

Great stuff. Spot on and some excellent framing in your selection of pictures. For me symmetry is everything and you have that bang on. Great pics.

thanks for your positive comments pete, i'm finding i'm starting to compose shots a bit better now just by taking more time, just got to start getting the settings right now and get out of auto focus mode, also beginning to wish i had waited now and gone down the dslr route,(after seeing some of the great photos on here) still i think i will keep the FZ20 for a few more months till i get better then think about trading it in.:smashin:

your in the wrong thread here geoff, and while it's a great photo it would be quite unfair for me to take any credit for it, so could you please remove for me (or mods please do) cheers mate.
Done! I've never seen a thread that restricts itself to one person!
Nice photos anyway.

thanks geoff, sorry if you were offended but in no way was it meant like that,if you look on this section you will see that everyone on here has there own photo thread or album, why not start one yourself as judging by the photo you put on here it looks like you have some great pics already.

Like your BigBen shot. I drive past Westminster and the Abbey lot these days and always wondered about trying to stop and take some pics.
Your shot fo the gardens: I wonder if you've framed it so that the acute angle in front of the rosebed was placed directly at the corner of the frame if this would have then create another triangular area of sky at topleft to balance it out. Might have looked a bit wierd with the cars on left but something to think about if you are in same situation.
Wheel over the gardens is nice composition to me and, well, you can't go wrong with a pint....
first pic I ever took with my DSLR

there seemed to be a lot of building/maintenance work going on around westminster when i was there which always make it difficult for stopping to take photos, dust etc :thumbsdow so i was quite pleased to get a couple of good shots of good old big ben

Like the "double act" shot. Cant help wondering what it would be like cropped a bit tighter though, with just the two middle guys or slice the one on the right to match the one on the left?
Great shot of the burned out car, looks like it was close to starting a forest fire. Did you set this shot up? :rotfl:
