Question Wireless Media Receiver for AAC Advice?

I'm considering investing in a wireless media receiver, hopefully capable of playing HD video. Trouble is, I have ripped my CD collection in iTunes and it's now all in AAC (m4a) format. Is there a suitable receiver that can play AAC without now having to convert it all to MP3?

I have looked at the Philips Streamium and Pinnacle Showcentre but neither seem to play AAC, although the Pinnacle does play MPEG4 video (isn't that similar in its audi encoding to AAC...?). Alternatives seem to include a Squeezebox or Roku, but these don't play video, and I would like to be able to hook the system up to my TV to both play video content and browse through my collection.

It would be even better if it could play protected AAC purchased from the iTunes Music Store.

Is there a device that can do all of this?!

I don't think there's anything that can play DRM'd AAC files, except the Airport Express, and that doesn't do video. You could always stick a mac mini under the tv, they fit quite well

That said, I think you should consider converting your tunes to increase your choice. iTunes makes it easy - change your import preferences to mp3, select your whole library, right-click and convert. Job done (several hours later, but not a lot of effort on your part).

I'd say it's worth for the extra choice you'll get for receivers.
