Lots of ideas but whats your price range ?, there arnt any HD-DVD players avalable quite yet, do you mean your looking for a DVD player that will upscale standard DVD ?
If your looking a DVD that will upscale and has a 5.1 decoder built in then the Denon 1920 fits the bill, you can pick it up for just over £200.

Do you know if the lip synch issue has definitely been sorted on the 1920?
I've searched but can't find a definitive answer and the main 1920 thread still leaves me confused.

I never had any lip sync problems with my 1920 top be honest so i cant realy comment if the new fireware has sorted it out or not, i think for some it has but others are still having problems.
Ive even tried to induce the problem by playing known problem disks like Pulp Fiction in DTS and still i dont have a problem so i dont realy know.

What LCD do you have and what are you prepared to spend ?
The Denon range takes some beating ... Look around the forums for ideas, then most importantly "DEMO" the product from your local dealers ! :smashin:
