loewe cantus 3870zx sound problem

I no longer get and sound from the tv speakers, only from the headphone out socket.
on entering the sound menu, the tv or hifi option is missing and has been replaced by a new menu of tv amplifier on or off , and below that a surround sound option of prologic or off..

The tv which appears more inteliigent than I am obviously thinks I am using an external amp/decoder which I am not.

Any suggestion how to get thius set to revert to the usual (factory?) settings would be most welcome

Ric

Hi, I have an Aventos but I think this should work for you. Call up the menu using the M button, highlight "Standard Settings", you should then have 3 choices, one of which is "factory settings" and this should hopefully solve your problem. Before you do this you may want to note you current , Colour, Contrast settings etc as they will also be reset. Once you have got everything back to normal go back into standard settings and store as your personal settings.

Nick.

Thanks for the reply, but unfortunatley I do not have a factory reset option available in the menu.
Having spoken with Linn. they believe something has been corrupted or scrambled in the option bits menu (during local power outage/generator coupling when this problem originally occured) and advise an engineers visit to reset.
