vauxhall satnav

hi,. my first ever post here. does anyone know if the vauxhall NCDC/NCDR range of car stereos will understand (read) CD+R or CD-R. the reason for my question is that i am hoping to have my navteq cd backed up onto either format (so i don't have to buy a new one if i lose it!) and want the same sat nav functionality on the cd+r or cd-r.
