7205 and HD+ or 7210

Having decided that my HD+ and H56 are never going to work properly with each other i was thinking about selling on the HD+. Then i noticed that a couple of guys on the forum had bought reconditioned screenplay units at a not bad price this got me thinking maybe its time for a propper 720 pj.

Under the circumsatnces and looking at the relative costs what im wondering is should i
A) buy a 7205 to run with the HD+
B)Sell the HD+ to put towards a 7210
C) If the HD+ will offer little benefit in either case sell it anyway Get the 7205 and have some cash left.

Definitely any option that involves keeping a processor! Besides the 7210 wasn't all that much to write home about anyway, save your pennies (or better still get a ThemeScene H79 and run 48Hz DVI for NTSC )

Thats kind of the responce i was expecting the H79 would be my ideal choice but as the recon 7205 is going for 1500 its a lot less than any price im gonna get on an h79. In addition im looking at it as a stop gap till 1080 pjs are affordable

£1999 for a refurbished 7210 is my opinion

i have a BENQ PE8700 and DVDO HD+ - currently im saving for the 7210 - if only i could get £900 for the BENQ (its got 950hrs on the lamp) then i would upgrade to the 7210 and pay the £500 premium over the 7205

lottery - this weekend!

That assumes that the 7210 is £500 better than the 7205 in the first place! I suppose when both are under £2k you may as well take the 7210, but really asides from the better contrast afforded by the DC3 chip it didn't give that much over the 7205 at all.

Thats strange

When i viewed a 7205 side by side with a 7210 i was more impressed with the picture quality of the 7210.

He didnt tell me which one was which just hooked them up and asked me which i would prefer

on reflection, maybe the 7210 was set up better but i thought the 7210 had smaller hinges on the mirrors

regardless - im still saving for the 7210 - anyone want a BENQ PE8700 with 950 hrs on the clock for £750?
