aERIAL FOR fREEVIEW

I have a tv in my den
The aerial is a link from a Sky amplifier which is fed from the rf outlet of a Sky + box. I presume the signal is analogue

I have just replaced the tv with a stereo.

Would it be possible to attach a Freeview box to the aerial coming from the sky+ box via the Sky amplifier in the roof and receive digital pictures and sound.

or would I have to provide a separate "digital" aerial ?

Only if you have an existing analogue aerial connected to the RF in socket on your Sky digibox...it will then be looped through to the RF out feeding your TV in the den...but then again you have just "replaced the tv with a stereo" so what would you watch it on?

Exclamation Freeview-Sky Box RF aerial output

I have "replaced an old portable tv with "a new all singing and dancing nicam stereo tv-HD Ready but no connectivity (yet)
It receives stereo sound on Analogue channels but when I switch it over to Sky channels they are in Mono.
I realise I would have to provide a new sky box with scart or optical connection to get the sound benefitsI presume with a good aerial (It is newly installed digital-pictures are excellent) signal, connecting it to a freebox would give me the benefit of digital pictures and sound on the limited freeview channel.

In the event I obtain the HD Sky box I presume (at extra cost) I could make use of the old Sky + box with the "office" set.
