ATI 9600 vs Nvidia 6200

I currently have an AGP ATI 256MB 9600 which is used with MCE for watching TV/DVDs, no gaming. Would I be better to swap it for a cheap 6200 to take advantage of the PureVideo functions?

I don't want to spend too much as I'll probably build a new PCI-E machine for Vista, which will require a HDCP card:

I would say not. The 9600 is still a very good card and if you have no problems with PQ I am not convinced the change will bring about any major benefit...

There's nothing wrong with the picture quality, but I have nothing to compare it with so I'm wondering if PureVideo will make much of a difference.

I did comparisons from my Radeon to my 6600GT....If you didn't have a GPU I would recommend the 6600GT (the 6200 still doesn't support all the Purevideo functions), but as you have a working solution I wouldn't worry about upgrading...The main difference I found was in processor utilisation.....

Thanks for the replies, I guess I'll stick with my Radeon and get an Nvidia when I build a new system for Vista.
