Picture Quality Sky vs Cable

Hi,

Does anyone have any experience of the relative picture quality fof Sky+ and Cable Telewest (particularly the new TVDrive). I can't decide which to get and would rather have the one which is the best picture. I understand HD is coming but not sure that I will take it immediately due to cost and need to upgrade my screen.

I switched from NTL to Sky+ last year. I've got a Panny plasma and was a bit concerned about any degradation moving to satelitte technology vs fibreoptics. I needn't have worried they are both equally good and bad. Bandwiths are more or less the same. Sky Sports looks good most of the time. BBC channels ok. ITV can be a bit crappy but everything watchable on a 42" screen which is not the most forgiving of poor broadcast quality.

Sky+ is what tips the balance although I do hear that NTL/ Telewest have a PVR soon.

I would say Sky has the better picture depends on your signal quality but cable should be so much better in this country NTL need to pull there finger out of there ass and sort it
