Would a p7 go with an AVP700?

I was wondering would a AVP700/ P7 option go together better than an AVP/ 1000 option?

Main problem is that the P7 has been designed with THX ultra gain levels and the AVP700 has not.

Thanks crusty does that mean it will or not work. Read somewhere someone had tried the combination and found it great.

Why would that be a problem??? Surely it only affects the overall volume (which you would calibrate afterwards anyway).

I have used the combo a few times and it was pretty impressive, though not the same as having an AV8/AV9 in the drivers seat.

Yes it is only a minor volume issue, nothing that would affect the performance in any distinct fashion.

The P7 will work just fine with the AVP700 Nabs and will be audibly better than the P1000. We have seen a number of customers take this route.

HTH.

Hi Nabs,

In the evoltion of my system I too have had a AVP 700 and P7 befor upgrading to the AV9.

In short the AVP700 is a bargin given its price point and wi .th the unbustable P7 ( the ONLY amplifier that I have never clipped) it can form the basis of a damm fine cinema.

Budget for some good interconnects and you will not look back.

Regards

Kishoo
