Happy Friday

I've got a Garmin c320 free with my new CitreonXsara Picasso but where do I stick it? The cigarette lighter is on the bottom left and is not detachable from the cradle so the wire is hanging down, thus exlcuding anything to the right of me. But the windscreen is slanted so I can't reach the bottom of it, but I don't want it next to the wing mirror do I? And the facia is slightly curved so it won't fit on there either.

Any ideas?

:lease:

Your gonna get some strange answers to that one.....
cant you use some blu tack to stop the wires trailing?

It's a brand new car, I don't want to cover the dash in blu-tack???

The sensible place is the passenger side window but then I can't see it/touch it etc!

 or :( ?

Dude

Why not try driving round with a friend all the time. That way you can tell them to programme it and they can tell you which way to turn.

I've mounted mine dead centre on the dash behind the steering wheel (so that I can see it through the centre). My unit (a Garmin i3) came with a disc that you can stick to the dash for the sucker to stick to. My dash is also slightly curved but the stickers seem to do the job fine. I know it does not leave a mark as I had to move it an inch :god: the next day & it unpeeled & restuck to new spot very nicely (used a hot water bottle to warm the glue for 5 mins before pulling it off the old spot). Yes the wires hang down over the left side of the wheel to the lighter socket a fair bit, but absolutely do not interfere with the s/wheel or my legs.

I tried it on the windscreen but found that the curvature meant that the sucker came away every now & then. I also tried it on the side glass & like you found that it was not easy to view (also, was scared about the cable catching/pulling every time you opened the door).

I decided against blue tacking the wires or anything else, as I wanted to be able to put the whole unit away, incl. the cable, when needed.

Good luck!

Dude

You may not be able to see or touch it there but unless you lock your doors at traffic lights some lightfingered git will see it and be away with it! Somewhere central is the best place.
