DVP Interlaced Picture!!

I know this is a little unusual but am looking around for a DVD Player that has a great interlaced picture through analogue component.
My Dad has a Sony 34” CRT TV with component, but it does not accept a progressive signal.
So what he needs is a DVP that gives fantastic component interlaced pictures. It doesn’t matter if it’s enabled with future tech (HDMI etc) as long as the interlaced picture through analogue comp is really good.
Please give me some ideas on which players to have a look at.
Literally all DVP reviews and user opinions are based on either a progressive signal through component or digital signals through HDMI / DVI.
Am pretty sure he can spend up to £300
I would be incredibly grateful for any help.
Cheers

My Pioneer 757Ai gives an excellent interlaced picture from component - you should be able to pick up a used example now for around £200.

Hey!! You know whats funny? , I was actually thinking of that particular pioneer model and how much it would be now!!!!
Great, so I will have a look around for it. It can be quite hard to get. Though they do come by once in a while.
Thanks alot!!

In the mean time, I will check out some others and see what pleases me!! I must admit the I-link would be a bonus!!
