Contact your local cinema. Most older cinemas have a store of seats for basic repairs. But if a nearby cinema is being refurbished they may be having new seats fitted. In most cases all that is needed it re-upholstering.
As a former cinema manager I skipped countless dozens of seats that only needed new cloth & foam in them.
Dont bother contacting your local plex, their seats are too expensive or new, go to your locaL conventional cinema. They ARE out there if you can find someone to part with them.

Stuart!
Hurry up with these seats.
At least post some pictures so we can get some idea of what they will look like etc.
Plus a rough idea of how much space each chair takes up would be useful.
Thanks mate!;)

I found a site for a shop called croydon lazer vision, on the net somewhere and spoke to a helpful guy called Naz. He has a stock of cinema seats from a refurb job at the Electric cinema in portobello road, London.
I purchased a row of four seats in what I would call very good condition (just need the back panels re-varnishing) for £100.
I have a contact mobile number for him if anyone is interested?
I would prefer to check with him first though, that it is OK to put his mobile number on the net.
I am in the process of converting my garage to a home cinema and the seats will finish it off nicely.

Re the home cinema seats, we should have CAD drawings posted on the net soon so you will have exact measurements.

Spectre,
"Soon" - is that days, weeks or a month or so ?
I need some seating arranged before the end of March.

We'll have CAD designs available before the end of March, though the seats will initially have a lead time of up to 12 weeks.
Why would anybody want these uncomtortable 'Bum Numbing' seats in their own home?
Yes, they may look the part, but at the sake of comfort.
Call me old fashioned but give me a good old comfy couch and armchairs any day.

Don't worry about the comfort of them, as I wasn't
asking you to sit on them!!! Somebody asked a question
I kindly provided an answer, if that concept is too dificult
for you to understand then TUFF

I also purchased seats from Croydon Laser Vision. Naz has loads of these and can supply them individually or as groups.. They were in great condition..
He also sells CRT projectors.. I picted up a Barco Graphics 800 with less than 2000hrs on the tubes and absolutly no burn for under £700..
If anyone wants the phone number for Naz email me steven@whathomecinema.com
Stuart,
How are the seats coming along?
Stuart
Has your enterprise died?
Can't access your site (http://www.homecinemaseats.co.uk/) any longer.
Shame if it has.
