Opinions's on Future DVD purchases

Hi,

Would like to know what you think. I'm planning a bit of a shop and wondered what you though of these:

I Robot - 2 disk
Hitch
Colateral - 2 disk
Arrested Development - Season 1
Lee Evans - XL Live
Curb Your Enthusiasm - Season 1
Hellboy (not too sure on the 3 disk)

These worth getting? And any recommendations you can make would be great.

i robot is a good movie and a good test for sound and picture

colateral is a pretty good movie too, very enjoyable

hitch is ok, but more of a family/chick flick than something guys would repeat view

hellboys not a bad movie either, personally i'm waiting till the DC cut is in the virgin 5 for £30 sale as i'm not that desperate to have it

never seen curb, but i saw the interview with ricky gervais and thought it looked funny as hell, so i'm hoping to find a friend that has the boxsets so i can watch it all

not a lee evans fan i'm afraid, so no comment there, and not sure about the other tv show. certainly i robot and colateral are good choices and you can usually pick them up cheap in sales (like the virgin one)

Saw him live for this tour and he was absolutely fantastic. Also got this DVD although haven't watched it yet, but it runs to nearly 2.5 hrs long and includes the Bohemian Rhapsody mime as well. Definately recommend.

Also, whilst I'm thinking about it, Play still have his 5 previous tours in a boxset for £23.99 in case this interests you.

Judging by the fact you are unsure of whether or not to buy Curb,I'm guessing you haven't seen it.If not I would wholeheartedly recommend it,best comedy on T.V. at the mo.

I would describe Curb as a cross between Gervais' cringeworthy humour with Seinfeld's observational style.

For me I'd go just for I Robot. Worth a watch but really just a typical american action film. I'd rate it well below something like Bourne Identity or the Matrix films.

I recently rewatched I robot on DVD and thought it was a great film. Very clever on second viewing and saw/noticed so much more like the colour of the older robots matching the owners clothing. Buy it!

Pete.

It started off very good but that ol hollywood perception just messed it up at the end.

Saw him live for this tour as well (Cambridge Corn Exchange) and thought he was very poor. Every other word was f*** (I've nothing against swearing but it just got tiring in the end), and half of the material just seemed old. Funny in places but I wouldn't ever go and see him again....

I have to say that curb your enthusiasm and arrested development are two of the most outstanding comedy shows for the last few years. Only scrubs runs them close at the moment.
