htpc resolution & Sony D50
Hi,
Does anyone know the correct resolution I should be setting my htpc to when hooked up to a sony d50 projector?
Currently running 1280 x 720 on a 16:9 screen

1280 X 720 is far too high for a 7" pj.
For PAL why not try 720 x 576 and 720 x 480 for NTSC.

Sorry but being new too this side of things, a 720x576 is not a 16:9 resolution so would I not have problems getting full screen on this screen ratio?
I did try 1024 x 576 resolution but the 3 colours separated when I tried it so I went over to a 1024 x 768, which displays ok but is not a 16:9 ratio
Help!!

You'll find that with each new resolution you try you'll need to reconverge the projector.
When using a crt any resolution within reason can be squeezed to fit a 16:9 screen.
