backing up a tomtom one sat nav

Hi, I have just bought myself a tomtom one, now the first thing it says in the quick start is back up you memory card, in my computer I have a card reader, so can I just copy the contents of the card to a folder on my hard-drive and that will do, or do I need the software taht came with my tomtom, also when I install my speed camera datsbase can this be done the same way, copy the folder to the correct file on my memory card, or is this done using the software provided.

Many thanks

Keith

It is better to use the software on the disc, but you can right click on the tom tom icon on my computer and select copy, paste but make sure it is the same size as some files are hidden.
