Is there a SE version of this in the pipeline?

All I can find is a flipper disc R1 version released in 2000.

IMHO this has to be JC's most scariest film yet! :smashin:

Excellent film, probably the last decent film Carpenter made.

The current disc isn't a flipper though. The movie's all on one side.

The transfer is great & it comes with a commentary by Carpenter & director of photography Gary Kibbe & the trailer.

The old laserdisc had these, as well as a very short making of (about 5 minutes at most, from memory) & a couple of tv spots. You're not really missing much by not seeing them!

As for a SE, there's nothing planned as far as I know. I don't recall it being that succesful on release, so I guess New Line don't see it as profitable to release another version on dvd. Maybe we'll see something when it goes to Blu-Ray or HD-dvd?

:)

I've got the R1 disc of this and it's a decent transfer for a slightly older release.

I usually like Carpenter commentary tracks but this one...well, dull is being too kind!

Ah, just assumed as it was old & it had the widescreen and the pan&scan fullscreen it might of been a flipper.

:smashin: Cheers for your comments guys. As there's no SE likely I'm very tempted to get this as it's only £6.41 delivered at Amazon:
