Hi, I have just ordered a tomtom go one which will be here tomorrow, will it have all the speed camera data pre loaded on the unit or do I need to download it, all will it give me a audio warning when I am approaching a camera if it does give me a warning how much before, 10 yards, 200 yards?
Thanks Keith

You will have to download the speed camera stuff.
You can configure it to give you an audio warning and select the range you want, mines always beeping on the M1 on the way to work.:)

I have found where I can download the camera database, so if I install it to my one I will be able to set up audio alerts from there?
Regards Keith

yes you can set up alerts for not just speed cameras but cashpoints etc, its very straight forward as is installing the speed camera stuff.
You can also download real voice camera warnings - have a look at Ray Flanagan's excellent site:
http://www.tomtomsatnav.info/realvoice.html
You can create additional warnings and change the text against the warnings - take a look at POI extended warnings (http://www.tomtomsatnav.info/poiw.html)

Bought the One today and just rying to dowload the speed camera files but can't seem to get it to work.
When I unzip the folder I get two sub folder; Sdk Registry & POI Capture.
Sdk folder has four files in it, one BMP, 1 CAP & 2 MNU files.
POICapute folder contains two files, Dixon and POICapture and a subfolder containing loads of BMP files. I'm guessing the POICapture file is the main file but it has no file extension (should it be OV2) and my PC doesn't recognise it and when I copy it and everything else into the Great Britain Map folder of the One I can't find a Speedcamera POI in the list.
Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong, did you lot download the same files and was there anything you didn't copy accross and should it matter if you copied everything?
Help guide says copy across BMP and OV2 files but I haven't got an OV2 file.
Thanks in advance.
P.S. I followed the instructions in the linked forum so I did try.

You've managed to download the POI Capture utility rather than the camera database (which is why you can't find any .ov2 files).
I'm assuming that you downloaded from the PocketGPSWorld site, you need to go to
http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/uksafetycameras.php
Scroll down, and there is a download database section, with a link on the right hand side of the narrative. It should download the January zip file. It was the correct zip file yesterday when I downloaded the January files.:)
