Where for m-audio Delta Audiophile 2496 soundcard prices to uk

I'm thinking of replacing my Soundblaster Live card with an M-audio Audiphile 2496 card for the cleaner digital output timing and to avoide the Soundblaster cards insistence on internally converting cd/mp3 audio fro 44.1 to 48KHz just for playback.

Advice on good, reliable and fast suppliers and delivered prices to the UK would be appreciated.

cheers,
Rob.

I've seen:-

http://www.makingwavesaudio.co.uk/pr...p?CategoryID=4
£135.32 [ ex vat] = £159 +shipping?

http://www.sospubs.co.uk/sos/apr01/a.../soundcard.asp
£179 including VAT. + shipping?

http://www.midiman.com/store/merchan...=ma_audiocards
$229 (=£162.77) + shipping + duty + vat=?

I picked mine up from a local (manchester) music shop for £159
You might want to check any around you.
It'll need to be one with a good computer music section.

Probably of no help at all but there you go!

I ordered one from http://www.millennium-music.co.uk as per Ken's recommendation; Mon 28 January 2002, 15:54

No sign of a delivery notification or parcel as-yet. I'll chase-up tomorrow if something doesn't appear on the morning.

cheers,
Rob.

update;
apparently there's not many about at the moment, next delivery from m-audio next week; no new toy for the weekend!

Anyone know a computer music shop in Berkshire? I feel a trip to Alex's shop in Manchester would be a little excessive.

cheers,
Rob.

Sorry about that, I guess I was lucky, delivery for mine only took 3 days. Another place you could try is

Turnkey in Charring Cross rd have them.

They do mail order, but then you miss out on the whole "going out to buy something" vibe.

Talking

Thanks Craig. I usually see my client near there on Fridays, but cam't make it today!

I tried my best ringing a few mail order suppliers yesterday. The wait will make me appreciate it even more.

Rob.
