I am trying to replace the spash screen on tom tom one.
I have loaded the old one in to photoshop, so I have the correct size etc, but when I save it back it doesn't display, does anyone know what colur depth etc it should be to display?

Thanks.

Splash Screens:

1. Connect your Tom Tom to your pc.
2. Delete the file ‘splash’ on your unit.
3. On the CD open the ‘Spalsh Screens’ folder.
4. Copy and paste the picture you require from the ‘Spalsh Screens’ folder to your desktop.
5. Rename this file ‘splash’
6. Copy and paste this new ‘splash’ file from your desktop to the Tom Tom’s Root folder i.e. it does not go inside another folder, and should be in the same place as the original was.
7. Turn off your Tom Tom.
8. Disconnect your Tom Tom from the USB cable.
9. Turn on the Tom Tom.
10. When you next turn off your Tom Tom the new ‘splash’ screen will be shown.

let me know if you have any problems

It has to be a BMP24 (24 bits BMP file) with a resolution of 320x240 :lesson:
For other cool splashscreens goto : http://www.xessive.nl

I have to ask. What is a Splash Screen? I have a TT One (V2), is it the screen with the hand outline with various things in it i.e. Bus etc?

Cheers
