sony kv32fq86 32 crt. faulty

Hi, i recently purchased a sony kv32fq86 32 inch widescreen from comet, which was a ex display, i have only had it two months, and its developed a problem, were by you are watching the tv, and it will suddenly switch it self of, then come back on again. i was wondering if any one as had the same problems, and what causes it. i most say i am most dissapointed with sony, as i reveiwed the tv in the which magazine, and they say its one of the most relaible tv's makes.

This is a know problem with early versions of this set. There is a fix available which an authorised Sony Service Agent will be able to do for you.

Have you got candles buring nearby?
A friend of mine TV(same as yours) done this all Christmas day,when he had a look at it,the insides where quite thick with soot and dust.He cleaned it and it now works fine.something to do with his mother lighting candles in the room,and it built up over a period of time,plus they were having building work done.

Dont mess about with the insides of a telly, I'm no expert,
but I have often seen warnings about high voltages inside
TV sets.

do a search for sony kv32fq86 i have the same problem now !sony know about it my new set is 7 month old !
