Recording VHSC to PC & copy to DVD

I have recently used my old JVC GR-AX75 camcorder (VHSC) to record some Xmas/New Year celebrations, I am however a novice and have never transferred VHSC to a PC before, can you help.

The JVC camcorder has an AV OUT socket, it appears to have 8 pin (DIN connector???, not sure) connector/port, my laptop has a DVD writer and uses Intervideo WinDVD Creator software.

The laptop's connectors are a 4 pin S Video connector (TV Out), 3 x USB ports, an external monitor port and one parallel port.

Can someone explain if 1) it's possible to record from VHSC to PC then to DVD 2) What leads/connectors do I need?.

Another option is to transfer from our TV's video recorder to the PC then on to DVD.

Check this product out from ADS TECH, which uses USB 2.0 connection to get analogue video into your laptop. Use your VCR for ease of connections to unless you really need to use your camcorder, then get a cable from www.keene.co.uk that will fit. http://www.adstech.com/products/USBA...p?pid=USBAV701

If however you are thinking of upgrading your camcorder to Digital soon then you might want to look at different products that will do both.
